Easy Honey Chicken Wings
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8 drops red pepper sauce
- 3 lbs. chicken wings or drumettes
Directions -
Combine honey, soy sauce, chili sauce, garlic salt,
pepper and red pepper sauce. Arrange chicken in
single layer in a 9x13-inch baking pan and pour on
sauce. Turn chicken over to coat with sauce. Bake at
350°F for one hour, turning over once. Cool slightly
and serve.
Honey Cornbread
Makes 10 servings
Preparation
Time: 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 3 cups yellow cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup butter or safflower oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 Tablespoons baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups buttermilk or yogurt
Directions
- Mix
dry ingredients together and wet ingredients
together. Stir the two until the dry ingredients are
moistened. Bake in 12" pan for 25 minutes at 350°F.
Do not overbake.

parts honey to 1 part hot water in a store n pour*.
*Or alternatively use a covered container that is
convenient to pour from.
Honey Blossom

Directions
- Build
in order over ice in a 12-oz. glass and stir.
Garnish with an orange flag.
Baked
Honey Ham
Makes 12 servings
Ingredients

1 Tablespoon flour
-
1 oven cooking bag
-
1 (about 6 lbs.)
bone-in fully cooked ham
-
16 oz. (1-1/4 cups)
honey
-
4 teaspoons lemon
pepper
-
2 teaspoons
rosemary or thyme, crushed
Honey Sauce,
recipe follows
Directions
-Place flour in roasting bag and shake to coat inside
surface. Place ham in floured bag. Combine honey,
lemon pepper and rosemary; pour over ham and close
bag with twister. Poke holes in top of bag with
fork. Roast at 325°F for 1 to 1-1/2 hours or until
slightly browned. Remove from oven, let stand 10
minutes. Cut bag and remove ham, following bag
manufacturer's directions. Reserve drippings for
sauce.
Honey Sauce - Strain drippings and measure; add
enough water to equal 2 cups. Add 1/2 cup white wine
and bring to boil. Serve with ham.
Makes 12 servings.
Honey
Carrot Soup
Makes 4 servings
Ingredients
Directions
- Place carrots, onion and chicken broth in large
saucepan. Cover and simmer over medium heat about 15
minutes or until carrots are tender. Transfer
mixture to blender or processor; blend until smooth.
Return to saucepan. Add honey and milk. Return to
simmer.
*Subsititute 1 (20-ounce) package of frozen sliced
carrots, if desired.
Serving
Suggestions - Serve hot sprinkled with nutmed. Garnish with
chives. May be served chilled, if desired.
Honey
Barbecue Sauce
Makes 8 servings
Ingredients

1/2 cup minced onion

1 clove garlic,
minced

1 Tablespoon
vegetable oil

1 can (8 oz.)
tomato sauce

1/2 cup honey
-
2 Tablespoons
vinegar

2 Tablespoon minced
parsley

1 Tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce

1/4 teaspoon black
pepper

1/8 teaspoon cayenne
pepper
Directions
-Sauté onion and garlic in oil until softened. Add
remaining ingredients and bring mixture to boil;
reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.
Serving
Suggestions - Marinate beef, chicken or pork in sauce. Brush on
meat during barbecuing or broiling. |
